Monroe & Company is a family-owned accounting firm with deep roots in Cleveland, Ohio. Our story began with Tracy Monroe, a veteran CPA with over 30 years of experience at a major Cleveland firm. In 2019, Tracy decided it was time to create something of her own—a firm that prioritized genuine relationships.
By 2023, Tracy had built a loyal and growing client base. When a friendly competitor offered an opportunity for expansion, Tracy seized the moment. Soon after, her son Tim joined the team, and together, they formed Monroe & Company. This allowed them to expand their reach while continuing to deliver premium tax consulting, planning, and compliance services.

Tracy Monroe
CPA, MT, Partner
Tracy is the founding partner and heart and soul of Monroe & Company. A seasoned tax professional with over 30 years of experience, she holds both an bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s in taxation from the University of Akron.
Tracy is a true expert in tackling complex tax issues and developing strategic tax plans. She works closely with clients, helping them develop personalized tax strategies that align with their financial goals, making sure they get tailored advice and solutions.
Tim Monroe
CPA, Partner
Tim is a dedicated CPA with 7 years of experience in public accounting. After earning his accounting degree from Ohio Northern University, Tim went on to work at a small CPA firm in Charleston, SC and a regional firm in Cleveland, OH. During this time, he did tax work for small businesses and high net worth individuals.
Later, Tim joined Monroe & Company, where he quickly became an essential part of the team. He plays a key role in preparing and reviewing tax returns, where his attention to detail and dedication to client success truly shine.
Tara Monroe
Staff Accountant
Tara is an aspiring CPA, who recently earned her master’s degree in accountancy at Baldwin Wallace University. Previously, she received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the same institution.
Her experience includes interning in the tax department at a firm in Cleveland. She’s passionate about applying her academic knowledge to real-world scenarios and excited to continue growing her career with Monroe & Company.
Sarah Case
Staff Accountant
Sarah recently completed her master’s degree in accountancy at Baldwin Wallace University, where she also earned her bachelor’s in accounting. She is currently working towards earning her CPA.
Prior to joining our firm, Sarah gained experience as an intern at a Cleveland-based CPA firm, where she provided tax and assurance services for small businesses. Sarah is excited to continue her professional growth and contribute to the success of Monroe & Company.
